Sk8ter Goes to Work
I know that for some of you in the World it is hard to keep up with our lingo here at G&G. ( ... Tough cookies! ... Is that even a phrase? ... ) We still love you and we will talk (or write) v..e..r..y.......s..l..o..w..l..y...
Anyway, one of Dad's roomies at the TraumaCondo was a hip kid named Sk8ter, who had a serious brain injury the same weekend as Dad's ViolentSilence. We met Sk8ter's family, we cried with them, and we prayed with them. We even found that that one of you went to school with them. Just as prayers for Dad have been answered, so have prayers for Sk8ter:
Sk8ter went back to work ( ... a Pharmacy ... ) on Monday evening, 4 hour shifts, to build back up his stamina he'll probably be working 3 evenings a week. His boss said he did very well, wouldn't have even known he'd had an injury if not for the helmet, and he also expressed how good it is to have him back. Amen to that!
On Wednesday November 12th is our appointment with the neuro surgeon, and we hope he will be so pleased with how everything looks he'll want to put Sk8ter back together again. Thanks again for all the continued prayers. We couldn't have made it without them! Sk8ter's Mom
Sk8ter, in your Mom's own words, Amen to that!

That's such good news. I've been praying for this kid.
