End of an Empire . . .

. . . was the title of an email I just received. My former boss, Senator Pete Domenici (R-NM), is retiring after 6 terms in the United States Senate. Here is the piture of Senator Pete and his lovely bride Nancy.

I worked for the Senator for about 2 1/2 years. Remind me to tell you about my "Jimmy Carter" story that happened one day while I was taking some legislative documents to the Senator at a hearing. Oh, I just found this picture from about 10 years ago. Senator Pete looks the same ... I look ... like a baby in a suit!

PVD, sorry I can't make it to your party. You are a great boss ... and a great servant to our country. Enjoy your grandkids.
