Slow is Good
Despite being told 100's of times, it is a concept that is so difficult to swallow, accept and embrace. Slow is good. . . Slow is good . . . Perhaps that's why life seems like it has come to a stand still right now. Kinda like the water balloon exploding . . . you know the result . . . you wish it the water would just splash all over . . . Wake up, look at me . . . I know the result . . . I wish you would just smile . . . I know you will . . .
Dr. Trauma 4.0 came back to the Dad's room later this afternoon. He remains pleased with Dad's slow progress. You've heard about the baby steps taken so far. Here's the new ones:
- Dad's immediate goals are to lessen the amount of BrainCalmJuice and NoHurtJuice so that Dad can come through the fog. [That's the best that I can describe where Dad is right now ... in a fog ... ]
- Dad's eyes have a new infection and he started new antibiotic eye drops.
- Dad experienced low blood pressure today. It was abnormal and the team put him on a new medication.
Nurse BlondeWisdom did a great job taking care of Dad today. We like the fact that knows us, by our walk, by her walk.
Unfortunately, we did not meet Nurse NotMetYet from last night. When I came to visit Dad early this morning, she was showing love to another patient. And that's okay. We hope to meet NotMetYet tomorrow morning so that we can say thanks for standing watch over Dad in the night. [ ... If you are a late night G&G Addict, go to bed now! . . . Same for you Self! ... ]
