So many emails, calls, notes, and visits...how can we possibly thank you for your prayers and support? We say special thanks to . . . Pastor GentleSpirit, who has come everyday and reminds Mom of Dad in his soft-spoken way; Pastor FishFry, who offered every resource of his church during this difficult time; Pastor LittleBabies, who snuck up to the Tenth Floor without a pass to pray for (and with) Dad and who shared with Mom his admiration of Dad's determination; Pastor Goatee who brought with him his soothing smile; Pastor Beard, who just showed up at the right time, put his hand on Mom's shoulder, and prayed with us for Dad ("After Lunch"); Bubbles, who gave Mom a good word from the Word (John 14) earlier today; Laptop, who gave her whole day to be a security guard at Our Little Corner so that we could see Dad without packing up; the Tuesday Morning Crew, who let Mom join us for our weekly bible study this week...at a different location; NelsonMandela, P-Pet, JrRunner and JrSinger, who have become part of our family; the BessieHarris Kids, who ventured out in the world, out of their comfort zone, to see, kiss, hug and love on Mom; the OakTree who stands firm, prays hard, and gets police reports; the OakTreeWife, who sat with Chris, gave hugs, and visited everyday...with a smile; OuterCircleChic, who has spunk and tenacity and loves, loves, loves; FunkySkinnyPants, who tirelessly and without complaint sought ice for our little bottles of coke (notice I didn't' say "pop" or "soda"); JrFlyer, who admires Dad's influence and laid his head on Mom's shoulder...she loved that; BG, who brings the "very best" snacks, lunch and dinner, even if it's from the country club; NurseVol, who pushes us to ask the right questions and herds the volunteers; Aunt V, who introduced herself quietly and prayed quietly; StrawberryMom, who pushed prayers into squares and watched over the camp overnight while Mom finally got rested; MusicMan, SingingSoul and JrActive, who stood as a family by our family; Mom'sLad, who Mom&Dad cherished the first day they met and who now gives Mom a big, warm hug everyday; SteadyMan, who works, prays, and smiles; the WordFamily, who showed up at the beginning and who watches our lil' ones; VillageSis, who is a shout away from Mom and Dad, just like a sister; SkinnyBigMac, who WITHOUT COMPLAINT and FULL OF SMILES just sits with Mom; Giggles, who brought warm soup for Mom's soul; Peaches, who had a penny, but gave a nickel; the Prayer Warriors, who...well...it's kinda self explanatory...but who lifted (and continue to life) our eyes upward; SouthernDrawl and JrCats, who tied knots of love and held steady; 24/7MusicMom, who brought nourishment and joy...we know she was singing inside; and LogicLove, who brings reason, compassion, encouragement, leadership and love...and likes himself.
