First Guardian Angel Found...Others Still Missing

That's right, GuardianAngel1 (and his lovely wife) found us yesterday afternoon sitting in Our Little Corner. Actually, he called me earlier this week, but he forgot to leave his number. [I forgive you GA1, because you found us.]

World, meet GA1.
GA1, meet World.

GA1 was one of the first earthly angels on the scene after the accident. [There were other earthly angels and perhaps they will find us soon. But we also know that capital "A" Angels were watching over Dad on Saturday morning.] GA1 pulled up to see a broken, hurt car on the side of the road. [...details still fuzzy... for me...] GA1 somehow got Dad's keys from one side of the car and unlocked the passenger side. He looked for Dad's cell phone. Finally found it and passed it on to another earthly angel. GA1 described Dad's look, condition, drive, focus and determination. [I'll save those details for when I, Chris, Mom, Dad, and you are ready.]

Short story is that GA1 was one of the first at the scene. He was gone by the time I got there. As I stood on my tiptoes, calves burning from their desire to lift me up to view my Dad, I was in my own world. The blaring red lights, the humming power generators, and the screaming JawMachine tried to interrupt my violent silence.

After pulling Dad out of the car, which was speckled with pieces of BurntSand, the EMTAngels wheeled Dad to his safety ride. OrangeSpeedRacer slowly backed down the road, turned around, and sprinted off to meet the Teams at what would become Dad's new TraumaCondo. I walked slowly, quizzingly, and empty, back to my car. GA1 pulled up in his truck and approached me with a soft smile and softer voice. He handed me Dad's keys, gave me some 411, and put his arm on my shoulder. I didn't remember what GA1 said [that is, until yesterday], but I remembered his compassion.* Thanks GA1. I look forward to the day when I introduce you, and your lovely bride, to Dad.

* Let there be no mistake--the Bible is the true Word of God and Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal salvation. But sometimes, when you least expect it, you may find prose from another religion that sheds light on your circumstances. According to the teachings of Buddha, "Compassion is that which makes the heart of the good move at the pain of others. It crushes and destroys the pain of others. Thus, it is called compassion. It is called compassion because it shelters and embraces the distressed." GA1, thanks again for your compassion.
