Big Sigh, Little Tear

This is why I am posting to this site as regular as possible:

"You don't know me, but your Mom and Dad are both special people to me. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the updates you are doing. I first learned of the accident from [the "Don't Call me the Other Pat"]'s post and have been looking for information several times a day. Please tell your Mom that [Ms. Vlassic Pickles] sends her love and is praying for Ray's recovery. I am keeping all of you in my prayers because this is difficult on the whole family. Thank you."

No, thank you...

Although I do not know your parents, we live in their neighborhood. One of the neighbors sent out a note to us, alerting us to the situation. Lots of prayer power going up from The Village! Let us know if there are things we can do to help (food / lawn mowing / pets?_

Stay strong.

I found out about this site yesterday, and it has been sent to all the pastors with e-mail addresses in the Nashville Presbytery. I don't think we have ever met, but I am one of the guys who has lunch with Ray every Monday at Shoney's. I am the pastor at Mt. Sharon Cumberland Pres, and I wanted you to know that we are all thinking about you and praying for you. I have struggled with whether to come by and visit, since that, as you know, is what we pastors just do at times like this, but I also know that things can be hectic and Ray and all of you need rest when you can get it. I look forward to meeting you in a few days when things are a little more settled. Just wanted to let you know we are all praying for Ray and for all of you as well.

Love in Christ,
Chris Warren

Thanks for all the updates. The Russellville, AR church folks are all concerned and wanting to keep up with Ray's progress. We are also concerned for Pat and the whole family. At the end of the Sunday morning service most of the congregation came to the altar, knelt, and prayed for Pastor Ray, Ms. Pat, and family. At the end of our Monday night praise and worship service we did the same. Hang in there. God is good all the time.

Matt, just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your faithfulness in keeping us posted regarding PR's PROGRESS. Praise the Lord and isn't it wonderful that He can use a tragedy to help us in our faith walk by allowing us to be strong, faithful and recognize His love and mercy. I hope you know how much we love you guys. My husband, Ray, thinks your Mom and Dad are the "cat;s meow". I am getting stronger each day and hope that I can be there for you and your family in the near future. Give my love to all, Sylvia

Dear Pat, Matt,Chris & families
At first news we were devastated. Much prayer has gone up & is constantly going up - God will bring you through this. Pat, you & Ray sparked my deeper relationship with Jesus - and taught me more that I can say here - I love you both. Our whole family is praying.
