100% Update: Today's Forecast

Probably the last completely accurate forecast was when God told Noah there was a 100 percent chance of precipitation.

Yesterday morning during TraumaRounds, the team told us that Dad's lungs were getting stronger. You also heard the other good news. Well, here's what happened throughout the day, after I left to work:
  • Dad was off the LungRobot all day!!! They gave us a forecast [... get it? see joke about forecast above ... I am witty, honey ...] that he would do two hours off the LungRobot and then four hours on it ... Well, Dad proved them all wrong and went from 12:30pm to 9:00pm.

  • They also recommended that Dad transition from liquid meds to oral meds ... Dad was simply in too much pain to go cold turkey on the switch. They will try a little more slowly.

  • Finally, Mom wanted me to send a special "mom to mom" thanks to Nurse BlondeWisdom, who was once in CorporateHealth, went back to school during her wisdom years (like Dad), and became part of the TraumaTeam -- all because their family experienced a ViolentSilence. Wow, amazing story! BlondeWisdom was able to take care of Dad yesterday "with true heart-filled compassion" because she (personally) had walked the same walk as us ... thanks .. (tear) ...

Prayer requests in their simplest terms remain:

  1. Increased neurological responses [Start waking up, Dad!]

  2. A bed at TheSelect, the rehabilitation facility they are recommending for Dad.

  3. Approval by InsureYouCo. for coverage of this particular facility.
