100% Update: My Stomach Hurts, Dad's Does Not

[Memo to self: Don't eat salad when you are running on empty and your nerves are shot, even if you are trying to be healthy.]

Mom and I just got kicked out of Dad's Unit #9 by Nurse Ponytail and Nurse SkinnyTransfer, who were packing up Dad to get some XRAYs. [In case Ponytail and SkinnyTransfer are reading this, we know that we didn't get kicked out, it just makes for a better read.]

First set of XRAYs from yesterday turned our great--no lower extremity damage. Today's XRAYs are to focus on the extent of the fractured pelvic/pelvis ... [too tired to Google the correct term or usage] ... Dad coughed ... opened eyes, but no focus ...

Dad's tummy is doing great! Ponytail said that they tried to put an All-You-Can-Drink feeding tube down Dad's nose this afternoon, but he was not having it. They tried five times. Dr. Trauma2.0 is not too worried about getting the tube inserted immediately and they may try again later today or tomorrow. [Did you hear that, Dad, Dr. Trauma2.0 called you FAT!]

Since Dad has been through a lot today, Ponytail says that today's goals for the rest of the afternoon are to simply rest. Here's a shade tree in the pasture for you SheepDog:

Matt & Pat, (that has a nice poetic ring doesn't it?)

While you're doing everything you can for PR, remember to take care of yourselves. I know you don't have your needs at the top of the list, but if you don't make some attempt at it you'll have one mad PR when he wakes up. He may even start preaching at you!

Hope Courtney enjoyed all her Birthday emails!
