100% Update: Late Trauma Rounds

Since Dad signed a new lease the TraumaCondo, a nice little one-window room called Unit #14, we were last on the list of TraumaRounds. [For a good description of this process, click here.] Usually, the rounds are done by 9:00am. This time, we were well into the "Breakfast is over!" call at the GoldenArchesCafe before rounds were done. Here is what we know:

• Nurse Ponytail is back and ready for a third day of action. The throat cultures came back ... positive for LungJunk (pneumonia) ... the good news is that the bacterial infection can be treated with an antibiotic ... the good news is that Dad can stop taking the other antibiotics ... the good news is that we can pray this bacteria out of Dad ... Remember? We all have GodThruMan strength to pray for healing and wholeness.
• Dr. Trauma 4.0 who will be here all week, said he was pleased with Dad's status. [I don't think any of these WhiteCoats (...or "doctors" for the literary-challenged readers out there...) believed that Dad would still be here.] Dad is the ultimate GodThruMan example this week!
• Dr. Trauma 4.0 reported that the ICP port had been taken out; that Dad relies on the LungRobot less and less (which means his lungs are getting stronger); and that Dad should continue to rest and heal.
• At one point, Dad wanted to start a hand-wrestling-war with me, but Nurse RubySlippers came in at the right time (...just as I was about pin Dad...) She upped his meds temporarily. Exit "flailing arms" ... Enter "peaceful ZZZZZ's"

Other than that, TraumaRounds were unremarkable. We are still waiting on an XRAY of the face, as well as the results from the CT Scan performed last night.
