100% Update: Before Lunch, After Lunch

Before Lunch:

I got here at about 10:45am -- fifteen minutes before last call -- and ran up the Floor Ten. Nurse Cheerleader reported that they were going to take out the "PA Heart Monitor." (Did I say that right, Cheerleader?) Googled it, but couldn't find a good explanation for what this machine does. Best I can say is that this monitor was a "direct" line to monitor Dad's heart and that Dad's heart is doing well enough that he no longer needs it.

ICPs around 21-25. . . :(

Lunch:

Nice salad with grilled chicken, Grey Poupon dressing, courtesy of my friends at Richland Country Club. [Golf Clap...Thank You BG!]

After Lunch:

ICPs between 12-16. . . :)

Dad had this throat cleaned by Nurse Throat-Cleaner Dude, who found lots of yuck. Nurse J1, with a cheerful and refreshing smile, explained that this was to prevent infection in once the balloon in Dad's throat is cleared out later.

Chris/Deb called the feeding tube by the name "oatmeal tube." I asked J1 where was the "oatmeal tube" . . . she pointed, saying we call it "milk shake." Whether oatmeal or milk shake, Mom heard Dad's stomach grumble. Mom, maybe that prayer will be answered this afternoon.

As we were praying for Dad, Pastor Beard put his arm on Mom. This was the first time we had 3 people in Dad's Trauma Condo. I guess being a Pastor has its privileges.

Ha, ha. Yes, it's a PAC, or pulmonary artery catheter. It is used to measure the pressures and fluid in the heart. Great job!
