100% Update: 12-Hour Delay

World, when we last spoke about Dad's condition, he was doing good. Seems like we are always praying for rest. Well, all that rest was worth it because Dad got HospitalBed-Jacked by a couple of "Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy" thugs yesterday afternoon. We will call them PTOT-Thugs, and apparently they will be back to the bedside all week long.

PTOT-Thugs, when working with Dad over the next few days, please be like the deodorant Secret -- strong enough for a man ("push Dad hard"), but made for a woman ("not too hard")! Here is an update for yesterday afternoon:
  • Lungs continue to grow stronger.
  • Heart continues to pump strong.
  • Blood pressure has maintained steady.
  • Therapists came to start moving Dad's body: legs, arms, neck, head. Tomorrow, they want to try to sit him up.
  • Nurse Ponytail had good neurological responses from Dad, including: (a) holding up four fingers when commanded to hold up two [... Dad never was a math whiz ...]; and (b) holding up thumb when commanded to hold up thumb.

Nurse Ponytail explained what's in store (for the regular patient) over the next few months. [Remember, SheepDog is a little different than others ... he's got a StrongPower working through him, on him, and in him.] In a nutshell:

  1. Dad's other injuries stabilize and begin to heal.
  2. Dad's head injury stabilizes and he begins to show normal responses to commands.
  3. Dad sells his property interest in the TraumaCondo (because he is no longer critical).
  4. Dad buys some redevelopment property.
  5. Dad recovers 100%.

[Note: U.P. prayed out loud this morning (for the first time that I could ever remember) that Dad would be (not "if" or "should be", but "would be") restored 110% because he will come back as a better man!) Tell me that's not a GodThruMan moment, and the perfect words Mom needed to hear. Thanks, U.P.]
